Good Weather = Bad Blogging?

Riding has trumped blogging for sure. If you live anywhere where this past winter was awful and the recent weather has been fabulous hopefully you’re spending less time in front of the computer and more time outside.
I’ve definitely grown to treasure the good weather. Last winter I even had a few revelations about coping with the bad. Hanging out at the YMCA with a crew of unicyclists was sometimes the highlight of the week’s riding. Many of the recent winters I’ve been able to take 4-6hr rides on the fixie throughout the county. This winter things didn’t work out quite so nicely. Record (or close to record) snowfalls coupled with a long string of sub freezing temperatures really killed my morale. I had to spend more time on the trainer in the living room and cherish my gym time (unicycling) at the YMCA. Hindsight is always good, but I think I learned some valuable lessons in spite of the awful, unrideable conditions.

I don’t really feel much like spending much more time in front of this computer screen so I’ll leave you with my favorite:

All pedaling is good.
